Who We Are

“No Mud, No Lotus”

– Thich Nhat Hanh

If you know how to make good use of the mud, you can grow beautiful lotuses. If you know how to make good use of suffering, you can produce happiness.

Dr. Lauren

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with two decades of experience providing compassionate care to individuals, couples, and families. My practice combines evidence-based interventions and holistic practices, with a special focus on trauma-informed care, mood and anxiety disorders, relational challenges, and maternal mental health.

My approach integrates traditional therapeutic methods with holistic, body-centered techniques to offer a personalized and supportive healing experience. In addition to my clinical training, I have completed over 300 hours of yoga teacher training and am in pursuit of yoga therapy certification through the Prema Yoga Institute. These skills allow me to incorporate somatic practices, breathwork, and movement into traditional talk-therapy sessions, helping clients reconnect with their bodies and foster deeper healing.

My Journey

I earned my B.S. in Psychology from the University of Florida and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, specializing in trauma-informed care, mood and anxiety disorders, and neuropsychology.

Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse settings, including community health centers, domestic violence shelters, and private practice, where I’ve had the opportunity to immerse myself in a wide range of the life experiences of others. My professional journey deeply intertwines with my own personal journey of self-study and growth, creating a foundation of empathy and insight that informs my work. The exploration of my own inner narrative shaped by fear and self doubt has informed my approach to working with the trauma narrative of others.

As a parent myself, I understand how transformative—and challenging—the journey into parenthood can be. Again inspired by my own experiences, I obtained advanced training and certification in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) through Postpartum Support International. I am deeply committed to supporting new and expectant parents as they navigate the emotional shifts of pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting.

I have completed over 300 hours of yoga teacher training and am pursuing certification in yoga therapy through the Prema Yoga Institute. These holistic modalities allow me to integrate somatic, mindfulness, and movement-based practices into therapy, offering a comprehensive approach to healing.
